Voted by his peers as one of the ten most influential people in Indian advertising and among its top 5 Creative Directors, Cyrus Oshidar was responsible for creating MTV India's tagline `Enjoy', localising the brand, and successfully making it India's leading Music Channel for many years in a row. In the process he developed a new-hybrid language of communication he nicknamed 'Desicool' which changed the tone and manner in which young people were communicated to in India. Most of MTV India's most iconic image campaigns, promos and shows for 12 years: Maalishwala, Chai Boy, Poga, Gaseous Clay, The Liftman, One Tight Slap, Sorry For Interruption, MTV Roadies, MTV Filmi Fundas, MTV Immies (Music Awards), MTV Style Awards were all created by him or launched under his creative leadership. Today he is one of the most admired Creative Directors and Youth Marketers in the country. Creating memorable advertising icons and uniquely local Broadcast Design packages has won Cyrus and his team accolades and awards both in India and internationally. The team has won over 75 Promax Awards for MTV India, as well as the A&M - Youth Marketers of the year, Advertisers Of the year, Music Channel Of the Year, TV Campaign of the Year, Abby - Creative Advertiser of the Year, Outstanding Brand of the Year, and many other Abby Awards. Cyrus was also founder member and creative head for the Contests2win group of companies, creating a slew of casual flash games and online contests in conjunction with Alok Kejriwal, one of India's internet pioneers. Cyrus has also been a consultant to the BBC World Service Trust and the Government Of India's National Aids Control Organisation, a Judge at the EMMY's, Abby's, Cresta International Awards, Guest speaker at Promax Asia and Promax India, participated in Lille 2006, a global Art Exhibition; The Edge Of Desire and has had a 17 minute retrospective of his work at the Hanover Film and Video Festival.
