Aug 29, 2008 - Ellen deserved for sure, she was breathtaking in Requiem for a Dream, she was the best. But come on Julia is Julia. Everyone wanted her to win, I remember how much I was rooting for her (altough I was only 9). She had to win an Oscar just like Shirley MacLaine in 1984 (Julie or Meryl deserved it but Shirley is Shirley). And this speech is so frank and adorable.
