Cooper Union got the green light to supersize by the Astor subway stop and like Union Square with St. Ann's and other supersized NYU mega buildings the infrastructure including the subways in terrible shape --they leak and are rusted have not been addressed as well as the many man hole covers exploding, water main breaks, gas leaks,,,,we just had a water main break by the Holland tunnel. You can find me on NY1 by a medium size water main break in the East Village and how about the horrifying explosion by Grand Central. http://www.nydailynews.com/news/2008/10/08/2008-10-08_environmental_commissioner_boss_quits_to.html I was emailed this article and I am adding it Oct. 19, 2008 http://www.observer.com/2001/will-new-york-lose-most-its-water-due-leaky-pipes
