I went with Mike Silva and a small team of people to Nigeria in September. I shot and edited this piece to a song written by my buddy Dave Lubben. One of our days was spent with a group who goes into a place called "Blindtown" in the heart of Jos, Nigeria, to provide medical care for its residents. What we saw there, was in-describable...The video only begins to tell the story of a group of people who are isolated because of their physical ailments. Many have leprosy, which has taken most of their fingers and toes, and parts of their faces. Many more are blind. We weren't allowed to videotape most of the residents that live their entire lives in these slums, as most are devout Muslims. Amazing stuff...we have so much - be thankful!
