The days of driving to a dealership to buy a car could be over for Valley residents. It's all part of a new pilot project called Live X Auto Exchange.: http://www.livexautoexchange.com/ So far it's located inside the Wal-Mart in Chandler near the Loop 202 and Arizona Avenue. There's a smart car in the front of the store to draw customers inside, but it's not for sale. Instead, customers find a virtual world of buying and selling cars. Live X's Patrick Dial said financing can be approved on the spot with several lenders including Walmart's partner, Desert Schools Credit Union. Since you can't touch or test drive the cars Dial said there is a three-day, 500 mile exchange policy on most cars. "I think it's going to change the way the world buys cars," said Dial, executive producer. Dial said there will be a second location opening in Mesa by the end of the week near the US 60 and Greenfield. He said two more locations will be opening in the Valley by the end of the year.
